                                        RESTRICTIONS ON FIREARMS

 

Rifle—(Staged with hammer down on empty chamber. If rifle does not hold 10 rounds you may reload on the clock or stage a second rifle to complete the stage, however first rifle must be empty before switching to second rifle). Any caliber center-fire period correct lever, pump or bolt action rifle may be used. Examples: 1903 Springfield, Enfield, Mauser, Krag, 95 Winchester, etc. All ammo must be lead and below 1400 fps.

 

Shotgun –Staged with up to 5 rounds in magazine with hammer down on an empty chamber, if a double is used it must be staged open and empty. Any SASS legal shotgun may be used as well as a Model 12 Winchester pump.

 

Pistol—(Holstered with hammer down on empty chamber – Magazines loaded with 5 rounds only). Pistols may be any caliber center-fire. Examples: 1911 Colt style, broom handle Mauser, any semi-auto of the period , any double action revolver of era including break-open or swing out style also a single action revolver. Shooters may use 2 pistols or one pistol and reload on the clock with a magazine or a moon clip   (no modern speed loaders). If 2 pistols are used, only one may be a SASS match legal single action. Shooter must show clear before holstering or changing positions with a semi-auto. (If two pistols are used and one is a semi-auto it should be shot last).

No compensators, no over size magazine release buttons, no extended magazine wells, and no optical, electronic or day-glo sites. All ammo must be lead and under 1000 fps.
